Introduction
A group
of Irish students is visiting your school. You are hosting your Irish
colleagues and you want to show them around the most beautiful places in
Madrid. El Prado Museum is one of the finest in the world and there you can
enjoy several Baroque masterpieces. You cannot miss it.
Task
You and
your team decide to prepare a presentation that will be later turned into
brochures that you will give out to your guests. You will work in pairs. The
presentation should include information on the place where the Museum is
situated, the Museum building, two major Spanish Baroque painters and several
of their paintings.
Process
1. After
looking for relevant information, write a short text (100-150 words)
describing the main features of the building, painter or painting. Do not
forget to put them in their historical context.
2. Search
for fine images that illustrate the previous information. If necessary, you
can edit them.
3. Set up
a Powepoint presentation
Conclusion
Congratulations. You are now an “expert” in El Prado Museum, one of the finest
and most visited museums in the world.
